Shonda has been instrumental in helping me transition from seeing food as something to eat to instead as something to fuel my body with, to heal my body with. With her simple guidance, I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I was able to revamp my eating habits. I was rarely hungry and enjoyed the food I did eat. I learned how to listen to my body and supply it with good food that would carry me through the demands of my days. By eating clean and properly, I reduced my migraine triggers, had more energy to work out (and lose weight!) and I had a clearer mind for my work day. After 4 years of trying every form of healthy eating I was aware of; working out at the gym and working with a personal trainer to try to lose weight, I saw very little results from my hard work and decided to contact Shonda. My main reason was to lose weight. Shonda is very thorough and after gaining a good picture of what I was eating, my activity, sleeping etc., provided me with some ideas to switch up my diet. I have an underactive thyroid and find it very difficult to lose weight. I'm 8 weeks into Shonda's program and I've achieved so much more than I could've hoped for. I've lost 12 lbs in weight so far, but more importantly I feel more energetic and so much better. For me it was about me losing weight, but for Shonda it was about my overall well being.
